Unfortunatly, weddings are a bit like cars... nothing but big, enormous money pits! Which is one of the reasons we are postponing ours - again!! ak67's dad is also having his operation next month, which was a major deciding factor on the postponement, but it was also financial.
I think we're looking at April now, but we have yet to decide.
Yeah that's fair enough. There's no way we're postponing ours and losing the money we've put in already for deposits and such, though. I want it in August or I will be very annoyed!
You wouldn't actually lose any of your deposits, they just book the new date and don't even ask why.
I know what you mean though; I set my heart on February, but then ak67's dad was booked in for his op and I quit my job. And now that we've moved, we have lots of decorating and carpet laying to do as well, which will cost a lot of money in itself!
Funny how the best laid plans often don't work out, but never mind. My philosophy is that our wedding is obviously not meant to happen yet... but when it does it will be magical :)
Well, I think we would, because Im sure they told us we would, and we'd definitely have to get a new marriage certificate which is £30 each.. anyway I don't want to change my date! Even if we end up eating fish and chips and I get married in my PJs. I guess if I look at it that way, it's not so scary, but I worry so much about failing to make it a ncie day for everyone :(
