I got banished to watch Hollyoaks while Stu watches Treasure Hunt :( Childhood flashbacks!
I was speaking to a uni friend today and apparently two more people from our group have now left the PGCE course. I think that means 1 in 6 people have dropped out and they're not even halfway through the course yet. No regrets though, right? They all sound really stressed and miserable and overworked. Not something I envy. I don't know why I ever thought I wanted to be a teacher. I don't think it's really me, all that work and responsibility and limelight. I really need to sell all my textbooks on Amazon Marketplace while they're still the latest editions..
We were meant to be going into London to see Eddie Izzard do a signing tonight, but we are both lazy, so we're going to go shopping tomorrow instead. It wouldn't have been as good as seeing him live anyway. Phoebe is going to the vets for a booster injection, which will be about £30, but what I didn't realise is that she was never given a cat leukaemia jab, which she should probably get if she's going to a cattery, so that's more expense tomorrow for the initial injection and then another £20 or so for the booster in 3 weeks time. The things we do for the grumpy sods, eh? If anyone has any advice on this then please give it to me :) I vaguely remember turning down the leukaemia jab 2 years ago because I thought she was going to be an indoor cat. Is it necessary if the cat is going to a cattery, and is the cat covered after the first jab or will that not happen until her 3 week booster? :| Surely it's safer to start the process tomorrow, before she goes to the cattery, than to wait until afterwards. right?
I got a livejournal paid account today. Only cost £16, much better than I was expecting it to be. Now I can do that friendsfriends thing, hooray :) More time filling joy.
I feel like my entries have become more and more rambly and random. Sorry.
