A Plee to 99.5/Clear Channel (Public Entry)

Despite knowing the near future of the station, I continue to listen to 99.5 WRNO for two reasons:

1. Rod is still on in the morning.

2. As the day draws closer to them becomming, without a doubt, the worst idea in New Orleans radio history (like we fucking need a talk radio station! And I though "Rocking country" was stupid)I have begun to notice the sheer disregard for "Classic Rock". The slow intergration of more "Modern Rock" into the line up has actually made this a much better station that before. Hell, I just heard A Perfect Circle's "3 Libras" on 99.5!

This has made me wonder, why change to Talk Radio? There is a station that broadcasts in Northern Louisiana called 99X, that plays everything Rock. Seriously, I listened to this station during the evacuation and with in a half hour I heard, in this order:

Tool - Sober
Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb
Led Zepplin - Kashmir
Sevendust - Home
Jimi Hendrix - All Along the Watchtower
Pearl Jam - Alive
Everclear - I Will Buy You A New Life
Queensryche - Anybody Listening?

Why can't 99.5 do this. Don't be just a "Classic Rock" or a "Modern Rock" station. Just be a "Rock" station, keep Rod on in New Orleans, and I guarantee they would make a killing. Don't make me listen to Walton & Johnson, please. I had enough of those guys when I was 12, and they were on Q93. (Anyone else remember them being there? Back when Q93 was like B97?) NEW ORLEANS NEEDS A GOOD ROCK STATION! With no 106.7 anymore, and now 99.5 leaving, that leaves The Bayou, and I don't like that station.
