Here's Why
I am rather sick indeed at the moment, but I am trying not to be too melodramatic about it. This has been a good week, with Tashia here visiting and some positive things happening. It is good to have someone in the house who can be relied upon for really solid huggery. Our plan for today is to go eat dim sum. There is piano music coming from the chapel. Music makes me happy. I want my mommy, but I feel like I am in the right place at the moment. This is the official lj announcement: I am staying on another year. Here is why, in a nutshell. While I was making yet another cup of tea for myself yesterday afternoon, I heard a knock at the door. If it had been a day off, I wouldn't have answered, but Friday isn't a day off, just a day that I am lazy. A girl I know was there, and asked hesitantly if she could come in. She was sick and had been wandering outside most of the afternoon, was locked out of her house, and didn't know where her mother was. We had tea and coffee and a bite to eat together, and talked. She is shy, but we had met a few times and we talked just a bit beyond surface matters. It has taken nearly six months to get to this point, and it doesn't make sense to me to start anew in the fall.
