A very slow reply, and we already talked about a lot of my thoughts.

1. Henry: he's growing on me, a little. Unfortunately as the lone child (I don't count Hansel and Gretel; even if I did, they were terrible), he's responsible for bringing innocence and cuteness to the show that those bitter, jaded adults just can't provide. (I...am really tired as I write this. Just to explain any randomness.) I like that he and Emma want to connect with each other; I just hate that the mayor refuses to allow it at all. Actually, I kind of like that she just laid down the law with Emma and that she doles out the bonding as she sees fit. That's how it should be! I think what I really hate is episode after episode of, "You shouldn't be here...but I'm not even going to try to stop you from tagging along. Oops, there's the mayor!"

I've thought a little about the trajectory of the season and what the season finale might bring; one vague assumption I made was that something will happen in the season finale to make Emma a believer in the fairy tale thing, which would also bring moderate changes to her relationship with Henry. I like the idea of them as a real team, instead of one overenthusiastic kid and one indulgent and lackluster parent. (By "lackluster" I mean "halfheartedly tells him to go away.")

2. August W. Boothe--I kind of assumed once he said he was a writer that he would be to this show what Kevin Thorn is to Jack of Fables and by extension all of Fables. Dude created all the characters somehow and has a magic pen! He plays a fairly big part in The Great Fables Crossover (which includes one of my favorite moments, when Bigby as a little girl tears apart a bunch of Literals and then forcibly changes back into a wolf and then into himself. HIS BEST MOMENT) and...something. I should reread that!

Anyway. Yeah, his general existence is irritating; I'm holding out hope that they'll give him a decent backstory. Or something. Maybe he'll end up being the villain! And no one had any idea because he was so "charming!"

3. Indeed. Maybe if she acted like a human being she wouldn't have this problem. Did they ever explain exactly what went down between Regina and Snow? Does Regina have a specific reason to hate her so much? I vaguely recall her saying something about Snow having taken something from her or possibly betrayed her. Was she just referring to Snow's presence (being adored by her father) making Regina's marriage difficult or is there something else?

4. RUMPLLLLLLLE. I too am curious about where he wants to go with this. They've played him as a "gray villain," but there's been no indication that he wants anything more than to live his life peacefully with the occasional favor granted from Regina. Obviously Regina thinks he's got something planned; I assumed she was keeping Belle around to use as a weapon/failsafe against him. Makes me wonder if she has failsafes for everyone. Like Xavier in Onslaught!

6. Here's what I'm wondering. Even if they remember, is the curse really broken or are they still stuck there living double lives? Is the curse just that they can't remember? If so, why are they in the modern world at all? Why are they trapped in one place? (This was maybe explained in the first ep? I can't remember.)
