turkey bacon doesn't cut it. try to make a BLT and you end up with a hot pastrami sandwich (a good thing in its own way, but not the intended goal). after 14+ years of not eating pork, i have found a worthy substitute - wellshire farms uncured beef bacon. it doesn't get very crispy, but the texture works, and the salt/fat aspect is just right.
