New Rules : Effective Immediately

Oct 06, 2010 21:38

Hello everyone.

I have some rather upsetting news. Due to a recent mishap between a buyer and a seller here in this community, I have been forced to draw up a new rule regarding direct sales. By direct sales, I mean sales where the items are posted directly to the community, rather than posted in a sales journal or eBay.

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELYAll ( Read more... )

If it's just two items, it really wouldn't cause much trouble to re-take the photos before you re-post them...

No, you don't need to re-take the photos every time you repost. Just bookmark the OP and link to it in your re-post. =)

The situation is an item was listed as mint with a photo that was a month or so old, and when the items were received, they were not mint.

Thank you very much for the suggestion. I shall add the time limit for photos to the rule.

There are a number of reasons to have photos re-taken in a one month period;

- Item was lost somehow (perhaps during a move)
- Item was damaged under any means
- Item was sold and seller forgot to remove it
- Item was accidentally thrown out by an unknowing third party
- Item was in storage and aged*

*Granted this wouldn't do much over one month, but considering the situation this whole thing stemmed from, we want to keep photos and item condition updated constantly enough to avoid this problem.
