Opera Chorus
I received my contract for the opera chorus yesterday afternoon. I was extended a Core contract which basically means I was contracted for all 4 shows that there is female chorus in. I also got my contract a few months before the non-Core performers. I'll be re-contracted shortly after the end of next season rather than re-auditioning and waiting for several months to hear back. This would be a great perk but I am really hoping that after this fall/winter's auditions I'll have another gig lined up for this summer and next fall. The best news is that I won't have to temp starting in January and I'll once again be earning my living solely through music. (deep sigh) Just the thought of it makes me relax a little more. I have this little tingly sensation that there are a great many changes in store for me in the next 15 months.
