Changes to D*Con costumes, again.
I'm keeping the Ice Fairy/Princess, but I think I'm not going to try to make the crown. I'm afraid I'll just end up cracking and breaking the plastic icicicles. I did find a nice looking headband that will go nicely with it. nicosian , if you have stones that you can make ear-rings with as well as the necklace we talked about, that would also be awesome.
I'm also keeping the Egyptian Dancer, but I'm going black and silver rather than black and red. And I'm doing something I said I wouldn't. xD I'm going to just go ahead and buy the bra & belt. That way all lovelystardust has to make is the Isis Wings and the skirt. The sandals should be easy enough for me to make myself.
I have decided to scrap the Nymph/Vampiress and try again to do the Egyptian Warrior Angel. It won't be cyberpunk, like I was originally trying to do. I will, however, be incorporating some steampunk jewelry into it. I just need to figure out how to do the "armor". Vinyl would be the cheapest, but lovelystardust couldn't find any in gold, I memory serves. My other option is buying armor, however, that will get expensive. I've been looking into leather armor. Ouch! I can only assume metal armor will be even more expensive, even if it would be more accurate, although only the Pharraohs wore actual armor.
I'll try the vinyl again first. Since it's so close to Christmas, maybe finding gold vinyl will be easier.
