51.6: Barbarism

I hate people who over glorify war as ‘noble’ or ‘just.’ When you get right down to it, it’s the definition of barbarism. You have people running about with weapons, be it guns or swords or tanks or arrows or what have you, killing each other. They don’t know who they’re killing and the reasons why are always so manipulated and convoluted that it’s highly possible that the foot soldiers might think they’re fighting for justice but the people causing the war are doing it for their selfish gain.

Don’t get me wrong, I have no disrespect for those who have fought in wars. Long before my fall I was the second in command of Heaven’s army, an office I was literally created to fulfill. But I never thought that I was made to do something like defend Adonai from attackers or protect my home. I was created for the sole purpose of leading people into their own deaths and trying to kill a few of the bastards attempting to kill us along the way. That’s what being a commander boils down to, if you ask me. I don’t care how fucked up that makes me seem. It’s the truth.
