I don't like the fact they changed the name from "Northern Lights" to "Golden Compass" in America. I mean, Americans aren't THAT stupid. It does make more sense within the trilogy to have a similar naming scheme. But still, Nothern Lights I liked better.
I just bought my girlfriend the trilogy of books, as they are utterly fantastic. The whole series is amazing. I hope the movie isn't a let down...
Oh wow, I didn't know there was a difference in title.. I wonder why they do that. They do it with HP too.. its odd. Kind of makes me wonder what other names they change throughout the books... But deviations aside, I am growing rather fond of the trilogy. :3
I hope she likes them. If she likes fantasy you should have her read the Black Jewel Series.
