Staying on the wagon

I should know better than to update in the middle of one of my classes, but it's been awhile since I updated, and I've enjoyed giving this thing some semblance of regularity.

Life is good, really, which leaves me with little to talk about.  I went kayaking for a good two hour stretch yesterday, and that was actually a lot of fun.  I really enjoy paddling when the water is calm, it's calming [who woulda thunk?], but yesterday was fairly rough, such that I really should have worn my sprayskirt.  I went with a classmate who has almost the same kayak, and we passed this fellow who was clearly a "workout kayaker."  He was there to kick the water's ass, dammit, and if he enjoyed himself then he clearly wasn't doing it right.
The fellow glared at us as he passed, seemingly pissed off we hadn't given him the right of way [it was our's by the way.  I won't launch into a discussion of right of way between non-powered watercraft].  I got a kick out of the fact that the guy had this camelback he appeared to be trying to bite through he was holding on to it so hard.  I just don't understand people who seem to do something so enjoyable without enjoying it.  I suppose, for all I know, he was having the time of his life, but he sure didn't look it.
