Love is....
Had an emo moment yday. I am part of a FB mummies group and one of the members wrote about her baby being moody and seemingly constantly trying to search her out during the day when he was being cared for by this lady's mother while she returned to work.
I pictured T doing that when I return to work in Oct and my heart just broke. I really dunno how I'm going to handle this. Sighs. How did u mummies do it?
On a different note, after this morning's feed, T was awake while I did a round of pumping, so I kissed him after I was done and told him that mummy needs to go to the kitchen and keep his milkmilk. He smiled and I left after making sure that he's ok.
I decided to take a quick bite before going back to the room (been having gastric probs since yday) and I figured that T should be asleep by the time I get back.
To my surprise, he was still awake, quiet but very much awake and chewing on his little hand. I went over to him and when we made eye contact, he let out a little cry of delight and beamed his adorable sunshine smile.
I sat next to his cot and talked quietly to him for a while, and he'd smile constantly while babbling back at me. I told him to go back to sleep, and that mummy will stay here until u fall asleep.
After a while, his eyes started closing while he fought the sleepy bug. He'd doze off, and he'd quickly open his eyes to make sure I'm still around. Eventually the sleepiness won of coz, and he fell asleep with a mild little smile on his face.
Knowing that someone loves me this much...it pretty much makes my world :)
