Today I was tidying my bedroom. This is an epic task. In recent months I've noticed that I can't actually see my floor. :(
I have a teeny path from my bed to the door but enough is enough.
I have WAY TOO MUCH stuff!
So I'm trying to make some hard choices and get rid of some of my possessions before I become one of those people you hear about on the news that get crushed by their things.
I have decided on four categories that I am keeping for definite:
- my bear collection
- my star trek/doctor who/firefly collections
- my creative writing/diaries
- things I NEED like my clock, lamp etc...
Everything else I need to seriously think about whether I need or even use it anymore.
So far today I've got a bunch of stuff that I'm going to give to the local Oxfam shop and to my mum's parish church for their fundraising sale.
A couple of Barbie dolls, some Snoopy figurines from McDonalds, a whole bunch of bags and purses, a couple of Beyblades, a bow and some arrows and some other random stuff.
These are the easy things to part with though and I've not made a huge dent in what I own.
Now comes the really hard decisions.
