This looks very interesting. I just noticed that this is part two, so am going to go back and read the first bit.

There are a few typos, and a few passages left me just a little bit confused, but otherwise the writing is awesome!

half the joy of writing anything long has to be the little sneaky bits you put in just for yourself
see only you and me got the hotel dusk thing and you probably did the OMG! open mouth - hotel dusk!
and she mentions the orange paintings!
