I HAVE A PUPPY!!!
He's an adorable little mix that I adopted from the Denver Dumb Friend's League. We believe he's a rot-shepherd mix. He's three months old and the most adorable little bundle of biscuit-loving ears and tail I've ever seen.
On April 11th, a kind-hearted gentleman was taking out his garbage and when he opened up the dumpster lid he discovered within it a filthy wet box with a shivering little puppy inside. The puppy had been left to die. The man rushed the malnourished and freezing puppy to the vets at the shelter where they placed the puppy under critical care. After a few days of proper care and treatment, the little puppy bounced right back. He now has a big fat cookie-filled belly and is named Oscar, as in Oscar the Grouch.
This is the first puppy I’ve ever owned. I’ve been reading up on how to take care of him, but any other tips and pointers people want to throw out will be totally welcome.
I’m picking Oscar up from the DDFL tomorrow after his surgery. Once he recovers, I totally welcome anyone who wants to meet my little muppet. Once I get a change I’ll take and post pictures, too.
(For those of you who are wondering, I still absolute love my cats. They're my babies, all three of them. I've been buying them bits and toys so now they have a huge cat playground. I'm arranging the house so that I can keep my kitties temporarily seperated from the puppy. I'll slowly be introducing them to each other.)
