When I grow up:
I want to buy a three level military base in the middle of nowhere, but somewhere with a good amount of rain. Then I would build an extensive greenhouse/garden on the upper most level and put in skylights with bullet proof glass. Next would be the water system: I would install a rain collection system on the roof (covered in a fine wire gauge so nothing could get through). The water would be collected in large tanks on the upper most floor next to the greenhouses. On the second floor would be were the rooms, kitchen, and supplies would be. The kitchen would contain extensive amounts of canned foods, dry non-perishables, and bottled water. The supply room would contain a massive amount of automatic weapons, semi-automatics, sniper-rifles, hand guns, revolvers, rifles, crossbows, grenades, flame-throwers, rocket-launchers, katanas, axes, chainsaws, napalm, c4, and plastic explosives. There would be no stairs in the bases. To get from level to level, you would have to punch in a number on a keypad, and a drop down ladder would fall, then you would have to open a hatch to get through. In case there was no electricity, there would be a long hooked pole kept against a wall that you would be able to use to pull the ladder down. All doors would be solid metal. The outside of the building would be completely smooth, with no footholds or anything. There would also be no windows on the bottom floor. Whether or not there would be windows on the second and third floors is debatable, but they would have to be tinted, mirrored bullet-proof windows. Surrounding the base at a 5 mile radius would be three heavy duty maximum security prison fences. This way, when the zombies attack I'd be fairly well protected.
