So after one weekend, four performances, two venues, and two late nights out; I am one pooped pup. The shows went great though. We had good sized crowds, at Kirkland Performing Arts center (100+, 80+, and 90+), and then a smaller but attentive audience at our church engagement last night. I just wish that more of y’all had been available to see it. I am really proud of this cast, and the work that we have done.
So now we take a little break. One of our cast members broke his wrist at our performance last weekend, and after 5 performances with it (ouch), is going to have surgery on it this week. We are still available for bookings though, so if you know a church that wants to sponsor a great show with a powerful message, let me know and I’ll get you the contact information. We have one other booking that is pretty concrete in July (in Tacoma), but that’s it, so our calendar is pretty open.
I am praying that we get more bookings. We have worked too hard and our cast is too tight to let go of this yet. People should see this. The message of forgiveness and hope is so relevant to today. And our lead, Deya…is just freaking awesome! The whole cast and crew is great. I’m not ready to end this so say a prayer for us y’all that we get a couple of more bookings. 3 or 4 more shows is all I’m asking, but more would be awesome.
Aside from the show, my life goes on as usual. I go to work, I go home. Oh…I have been living off PB&J, grilled cheese, and tomato soup for a week, which is fun. I splurged this weekend so it looks like another week of soup and sandwiches is in store for me. I have my TPS audition this Wednesday, which I am stoked for. I will hopefully get together with miss Anne tonight to work on monologues, but she’s hasn’t gotten back to be yet so we shall see. BTW TPS fixed my account so I'm back up and running. They were really prompted and polite about getting everything straightened out.
That’s about all I’ve got to say, except for I miss y’all.
