Wow!

It amazes me how God answers prayers.  When I was stuck at home feeling depressed God opened a window when by chance, while visiting friends here in Seattle, I walked into Karen Lund's classroom and was asked to audition for her.  I got a role and had something to occupy me when I moved out on my own.  When I moved back to Seattle last January, I was near broke and desperate for a job.  God provided.  And now I'm getting ready to celebrate my 1 year anniversery with Viking Bank.  It's not my ideal job, but it is just what I needed at the time.

When my play with Taproot was over, I was going crazy at work.  I didn't see my friends as often as I'd like and had no creative outlet.  After a miserable audition for Village, I met (again by chance) with an oppurtunity to audition for The Screwtape Letters.  It has been one of the most amazing things I have EVER done.  I love the show, the cast and the character (as twisted and wicked as he may be).  What more, I have been adopted into a company.  When deciding what show to do in the spring, Jane (our director) asked my opinion and when I told her which of the options I like best, she made her decision.  WOW!

Tonight I had the first reading for Mousetrap.  It was amazing.  We have an excellent cast and we have a show that breathe new life (we hope) into a much done, and long lived script.  It is going to be a very dark show, but the message is amazing and I trully think it will be a great one.  Not as amazing perhaps as Screwtape, but it will be good none the less.

As the director and her production team have talked about the later shows (we are still hoping to have a renunion tour of Screwtape after Mousetrap, please God!), they have tried to convince me to try out.  The next show is Sound of Music and they very much wanted me to be Rolph.  While Rolph is one of the few dancer roles in the show, I have no desire to play it and have said so. Tonight the stage manger told me that they came up with an idea to get me in.  They are talking of making the character of Max a younger man then he typically is and have me in that role.  This I'm intrigued, though I'm not sure it would work.

Finally, Jane the director is seriously considering doing Dracula in the next year or so.  Why?  Because I said I would stay to play the role of Jonathan Harker.  I role I've wanted to play ever since I saw Book-It do it.  She is considering a show to keep me with the company.  It's all so amazing.

God has provided all in his own way (right time, right place, usually for a different reason altogether), both a job and a creative family.  And my friends, they have all been so wonderful and helpful.  I love you all.  Always what I needed most, and now that I have both of those there is only one thing I need.  I've prayed and prayed for it, and again I pray.  Perhaps Friday night will be the time and place, perhaps, but perhaps I'm taking things into my own hands too much.  I'm not sure.  My friends seem to approve and I trust their judgement.  I pray that Friday night, is the chance I've been asking for.

Well its late and I have work in the morning.  I love you all and God Bless.
