It's soup week again! I started things off tonight with a Garlic & Greens soup. The recipe is named 'garlic' for a reason - I used a whole head of garlic and was a bit nervous in doing so too. It didn't taste that bad, actually... pretty spicy and with a good "kick," in fact. For the greens, I used Kale, which reminded me of spinach, just tougher and with larger leaves.
We had this soup with toast and a salad of Sunflower Sprouts, chickpeas and brown rice crispies which were damn expensive but so irresistably gorgeous. This is the first time I'm trying the sprouts and I must say, I'm officially a fan! I got these from Cold Storage and saw that they had other cool sprouts too, like onion sprouts
Garlicky... but supposedly good for the heart so, drink up!
