Faire Stuff
I went to see the guild master of the Fraternatie of the Guylde of St. George this evening before work. He had sent me an email earlier in the week asking me to come over and pick up the guild stuff he had ordered for me.
I had time to kill and it's not far from my new home so krayzj77 and I stopped by for a brief visit. Actually, I did the visiting and she sat bored in the car. But that's not the point. :P
He had my sword, breastplate and helm ready for me to pick up. He also fitted me for modifications on my wrap-around sword belt.
I now have everything I need to pull of my english pikeman persona at Fair Oaks!
Hopefully I'll get some good pictures so I can make an english icon to go with my scottish one for LJ. I'm sure some of you would like to see me in garb so I'll be sure to post picks once I have taken some. Perhaps once I get my belt finished I'll get into garb and do a photo shoot. :P
However, since Fair Oaks is the same weekend as the Gothic Luau, for every faire pic I post, I want the_dean to post pics from the luau. :D
Additionally: It's nice to finally own a sword! I've wanted to get one for some time now but I haven't had the money. It's good to have a guild master that will work a payment plan though!
