The very much-awaited SUPER DELICATE full version PV is finally out! Wheee~! And gosh, JUMP didn’t fail to blow me away (as usual) ♥
First of all, the choreography of the song itself is excellent. And of course, not to mention that the song was just too awesome. And the effects were similar to Over and it definitely suited my taste. Each member’s outfit was also perfect on them and the catwalk concept was just sooooo good (especially on Yuto! I’m not being biased! HAHA! I swear, he needs to do more modeling xD)! The only thing that was bad on the PV (at least for me) was that the screen time of each member wasn’t balanced. When it comes to screen time, I think this was one of the worst. You wouldn’t even feel like Inoo-chan was in the PV with just how many seconds of screen time he had. Keito didn’t have much, too. And if you noticed, Yabu and Hika were also focused on the same angles each time they appeared. They seriously need to fix that part. I mean true enough, the PV was to promote the single AND Risou no Musuko. So it was okay that Yama-chan and Yuto were the focus of the song. But to disregard the other members? Now that’s what I don’t accept. But on the other hand, Yuto being focused again is just soooo great~!♥ Yama-chan had a really long period of time when he was the center of JUMP, but it’s great to have Yuto come back again this way, just like the old times~. His lines in the whole song was just too good ♥ :”> Hihi~!
But now here’s the issue. What has gotten into Johnny’s? A lot of people said that the PV was cheap; there were less effects (no effort in editing the PV was required), costumes were casual (especially if you compare it to Magic Power) and the PV didn’t have enough concepts). A lot of them were disappointed by the PV. Because of this, some people took it negatively that Johnny’s didn’t spend money in producing this PV and that JUMP didn’t deserve this cheap kind of PV. But the question is, does JUMP really need to be spent on to look like they’re really great artists? I’m not saying Johnny’s shouldn’t spend a lot of money on JUMP. I think they do deserve a really great budget on producing something for them. But do you think it’s necessary to prove to the people on how much of a great artist JUMP is through expensive, sophisticated PVs? Your value is not measure by money. In JUMP’s case, what makes them a good artist is the number of fans that they have and not how much the agency or the producers spend for them. They earn their popularity and it’s not something they buy. JUMP doesn’t need a super cool outfits or expensive sets and over-edits because they can carry themselves with just a simple PV especially with how much they improved in singing and dancing. But that doesn’t mean they don’t need to make a great PV.
SUPER DELICATE was beautifully simple ♥ It was great, but I’m looking forward to see even greater PVs from them :)
Another issue is the leakage on the PV, the making, Su.Ri Ru and Wonderland Train. I haven’t seen any of them except the PV, but I’ve been hearing things about it, seeing screencaps and even gifs all over the place. Honestly, I’m really against piracy. The only reason why I download is because I don’t have original copies. But if it weren’t for that, I wouldn’t download. It saddens me that it’s all over the internet even before the single is released. The single is scheduled to release on Wednesday (22nd), but it seems to me that it’s already all over the internet. Whoever uploaded it, God bless you.
I know, eventually, I’ll come to a point when I’ll find myself downloading them. I’m not against piracy, but I’m not against downloading either. There are people who can’t afford it or no sources (or even both) and I’m one of those who can’t afford to get everything I want. I’m also out of reach with things like the Johnny’s merchandises. That’s why I can’t help but download because I don’t have other means of getting them. And that’s the same for everyone else. Downloading comes for people who are less fortunate and I am actually glad that there is a thing called downloading. If it weren’t for finances and sources, we wouldn’t be downloading.
I was upset that the single was leaked especially because it already spoiled everyone. Some people are mad that the PV was already leaked. But actually, it wasn’t exactly leaked. Just to remind you, PV means PROMOTION VIDEO. PVs, music video alike, were made to PROMOTE the single, album or tour that an artist will be having (aside from entertaining the music video watchers, of course). Now, imagine if SUPER DELICATE PV was never released before the single was released. Do you think the single will be promoted and will have higher sales than it should get? Of course, not. What’s the use of releasing the PV when everyone has already bought the CD? The essence of calling it a PROMOTION Video will be in vain. The PV is released to excite more people to buy the single, that’s why I believe it was out earlier. I really don’t get the logic of the PV coming out on the same day the single comes out. So for those who take the PV leaked negatively, I hope you rethink about this. Think again why it was called a promotion video.
Now that the PV is released and I know what the single will be like, this excites me more to get the single! I really hope I can grab copies on it as soon as it gets out - and same goes for you too :)
