I don't watch the show. What is the premise of it? (*curious*)

Penny Dreadful was about monsters. Literary monsters. It was set in Victorian England (mostly), and involved characters like Dr. Frankenstein, Dracula, vampires, demons, werewolves, Dorian Gray, Dr. Jekyll - a whole crew of monsters interacting in this complex and really interesting storyline. Beautiful stuff - WHICH IS NOW OVER BECAUSE THE CREATOR GOT BORED. He got offered another series, so he just crammed three years worth of story into two episodes so he could wash his hands of it. The last couple of episodes are painfully bad, with thin storylines and an ending so forced it might as well have been foie gras. I swear, I am NEVER getting into one of these episodic series again, not until it's over and I can just binge the whole thing. After Lost AND this abortion, twice bitten, thrice shy - NEVER AGAIN.

I'm shocked and surprised about the news but sadly have not yet seen any PD3 episodes because I don't get the channel. Gabi is going to try and put me onto some. I had only just caught up with season 2. I was just asking her 'is this real' and googling about to try and see if it was confirmed yet. Seems so, unfortunately. But on the upside, there could be an afterlife for some characters in fanfic. Sorry I'm not informed yet to discuss the finale but I saw a brief summary - noooooooo!

Oh, poop. I'VE got them. You want me to upload them for you? I've got a couple already up, from when I was uploading them. I stopped because nobody was DOWNloading them, but I'll be happy to do that for you, no sweat ( ... )

Oh thank you so much for downloads, love, I will try to do this but to my embarrassment I never have done this before. Let me try do it for the first before you go to any more trouble.

I do share that WTF at Logan because it seemed so apparent that they were going for these beautiful arcs and I feel that the actors really went out there on a long limb in trust and faith for him. Even without knowing all the details I just can't believe that all the questions from S2 can have been resolved so quickly. There was acres of stuff and myriad characters and stories to mine from other novels. A few shows seemed to jump on that bandwagon but none had the pedigree or stellar cast. They were brave and fearless and created a really compelling world, I was shaken in S2. The only great thing is I think that some of the actors will have found even more respect in what they achieved and have some opportunities created out of it. I'm sorry we don't get more and I bet tumblr is blowing up - I haven't looked yet. And just arrrrgghhh!!! xxxx

You can pick up HJSplit here. It's a tiny little program just for splitting files into pieces and putting them back together. Easy to use, no need to install it. Just download, open the file and then hit "Join". Navigate to the folder where you put the downloaded bits, select the one that ends in .001 and hit Start. It'll sew up the pieces for you. Then just rename the joined file whatever you like, so long as it ends in ".avi"

That's all there is to it. Do that with each of the links I gave you and it should work fine. :)

I feel like an idiot for getting so involved in it. Man, never again. I'm waiting for series to be finished before I watch from now on.

I have watched PD from the beginning. Love Eva Green and all the other cast. I'm looking forward to the double episode this Sunday, but am very sorry to see the show end. I've read a lot of articles on line, including interviews with Eva and Josh, and they're ready to stop, Eva especially. The producers and writers felt they simply couldn't drag out Vanessa's misery any longer. C'est la vie. However, MAYBE NOW Eva will be nominated for an Emmy. That happens sometimes once a show ends and she is ridiculously overdue.

So he's not the only one who just decided, "Nah, don't wanna anymore"? Fuck, that is very disappointing. Well, that must be a problem signing up movie actors to do television, I guess.

Whatever the reason, I'm done watching these kinds of shows as they air. I'll watch completed series, but I am NOT putting my energy into liking a show just to have it ripped out from under me. Abandoned WIP's are no fucking fun at all.

I agree. Waiting is the pits. Aren't there two more episodes back to back this Sunday? Ethan kills Vanessa, or so I've read, and that didn't happen in the latest episode.

The finale already aired. That's why we're all so pissed off.
