Oliver would lecture her for venturing out in the middle of a war to get the sunglasses. WEIRDNESS. :)
Okay, so back to the beginning. I was happy to see the bits from earlier seasons from you. It was a treat to see you venturing into their respective headspaces a little earlier in the timeline. And you nailed both of them, especially Chloe:
she was so good at lying to Jimmy that she started not recognizing herself in their relationship. Loved this because I found her hard to recognize as Chloe when she was with Jimmy. Like you said, I think she felt their relationship was something that was good for her, something she should be doing rather than something she truly wanted.
Liked what you did with the 'subway' dialogue from Collateral. It never bothered me as much as it did others, but turning it into a desperate ritual is a great explanation and makes it even more heartbreaking.
Thank you for continuing to share your coffee break inspirations. I thoroughly enjoyed this! ♥

When I realized it was the sunglasses, and when I considered everything that was happening around them, it came to me that after all this time... that would pissed him off just as much as trading his life for hers. So yeah, no worries there, it surprised me too.
Like I said, I had to read the wiki page to get an idea of their headspaces, because there is nothing like trying to embrace something good, but your head just won't let you. In this case, she has a good reason, but it still sucks.
I never had an issue with the Collateral dialogue, but it was something I wanted to explore writing and this gave me the perfect avenue to do so. You can hear it in Oliver's voice that it was out of desperation, so it fit to me.
Thanks as always for this! As I told you on Twitter, I'm hoping to revive some of my WIPS, but in the interim, I'm so glad that you enjoyed these one-shots.
