Love Victor.
There’s a maturity in Chloe and Ollie’s conversation on the terrace that comes with the passage of time. It’s refreshing that once Victor opened Chloe’s eyes to Ollie’s feelings for her, she wants to confront Ollie and wants him to be honest; after all she’s been through for him, she’s long past hiding behind her wall of denial. They’re both hesitant and Ollie’s resigned to being alone, but they’re done being coy.
Love Chloe’s description of her “healthy” relationship with Oliver:
“But he brought something out of her, provided a purpose for her when she was facing a confidence crisis. He gave her reason to fight, even when things seemed dire. Someone to talk to when it felt like her whole world was falling apart.
If nothing else, he was always there for her, even if she didn’t want him to.” That’s one of the reasons I love Ollie!
Exactly what did Ollie say when he cut out at the Earth Station? It seems like Chloe heard him say that he loved her.
Thanks again for sharing your talent Sera. I’ve reverted to my lurker ways in the past year, but I really do enjoy all your stories and author’s notes. You have no idea how much joy your fics bring, especially when I’m feeling stressed or just down in the dumps. Chlollie fics are like my Zen/happy place. My New Year’s Resolution is to post more responses to your wonderful work.
I know you’ve had rough times in 2015, but that you’ve also had the courage to be proactive. This only adds to my respect for you. Wishing you nothing but the best in 2016!

Yeah, it's no secret how much I love Victor, so it's good to know that people are fine with his constant involvement in my fics.
I find that there was always a maturity to their relationship, the coyness maybe not so much, but considering the time that had passed, it felt fitting.
To be honest, I forgot to fact-check. I think that was where Oliver said I love you to Chloe. I'm a sucker for trying to maintain certain canon elements, even in AUs. I had included the actual words initially, but I figured it didn't fit the timing.
Well, even in lurker form, I am glad to know that my fics bring you joy. Your comments do the same for me, for what it's worth, but don't feel obligated to comment. When it feel right, I'm all ears.
And thanks for the well wishes. While what I went through was tough, I have grown to realize all the good in my life. I'm looking forward to the year ahead and I wish the best for you too.
Thanks again!
