Just getting around to reviewing this even though I read it 2 days ago. This chapter was adorable, and so was Chloe. The last time she actually wanted to do this was ages ago. You keep earning that Favorite Chloe title by constantly making me want to give her hugs. This emphasizes just how important this date (and Oliver) is to her and it made me feel all squishy.
Hahaha the Lois Inquisition. I love Chloe's little group of girlfriends more every time they make an appearance. They're a nicely rounded out group of personalities that complement each other well.
I figure this way, you might think of me as much as you think of coffee. Oh Jimmy, you are such a sad sack. Damn, I know he meant that as a joke, but ouch is that on the money. This was a great opportunity for Chloe to reflect on their relationship, get some more of their backstory, and a mild bit of closure, even if it was through a coffee pot.
But now the silence was taking up the air around them. Oh gosh, their date was so lovely. Both of them so nervous at first, the smalltalk so difficult because even that was important to them. *Hearts*
“I haven’t felt like just Chloe in a long time.” Eeeeeee nice. :) Liking what you learn about yourself through interaction with a significant other is always a sign of a great relationship. The return of their comfort level combined with the thrill of something new was a great way to end the night.
It's probably a one-shot, but I felt like tossing in a sort-of cliffhanger. I hope you like it, because it's going to be super-late.
No worries about the delay. I've been so consumed with hockey playoffs that I've hardly been on my laptop.
The date is important to them, and I wanted to put little signs on both sides to show that.
Is it wrong that line of Jimmy's might be my favourite of the chapter? The accuracy hurts, but the guy just kept trying. I also felt like Chloe needed a bit more closure on that relationship, as that was what had been driving her.
I knew you were going to call me on that line of Chloe's, but it's as accurate here as it was when she said something similar in canon.
As a whole, this chapter is part of the calm before the storm starts brewing. That said, I don't know when the next chapter's going up. I think Chapters 11 and 12 may be finished before 10. But I'll do the best I can.

Super sweet chapter, can't wait for the next one!
