This story required a lot of set-up, so there was less focus on the Chloe/Oliver relationship in the last few parts. That said, their relationship is a big part of the next two chapters. I'm also glad you love Evie, because I'm having so much fun writing her again because she's so immersed in my headcanon. She's pushy on certain things, but especially with her abilities, she meddles less than certain people. Because she is happy for her friends and wants them to embrace happiness on their terms.
I went back and forth with the Lex reveal, or whether to have it at all, but this felt the most natural for me. I couldn't have Chloe be oblivious forever, and I couldn't see this many people lying to her any longer (or underestimating her intelligence). It's a tough pill for her to swallow, but this is just the start of the unraveling of the case.
That's also why it's important for the team to be on the same page and to support each other. They are going to need each other in the coming chapters, and each character has an important role in what's to come.
