Awwwwwwww x 1000. As I told you on Twitter, I was grinning like an idiot at the end of this. I love that as great as you are with the angst, your writing has just as much emotional punch when you channel that into the happy.

“The shoe’s fun on the other foot isn’t it?” Really enjoying Evie's glee at being able to turn the tables on her friends' non-relationship relationship. She's never going to be super pushy (as she said, there's Lois for that), so it comes across as mainly being happy for her friends. It's one of the reasons I love her character. Her taking the opportunity to throw "think about it" back at Chloe was great.

Also like that characters are being smart about telling Chloe shit before she figures it out herself. The Lex thing is the exception (Chloe being slow on the uptake there), but I get that that was one instance where she was too close to the problem to be able to see it. She values him as a friend and thus turns a somewhat blind eye to his shenanigans. It's similar to when Clark asked her to stop digging into his secret and she immediately did just that to save the friendship. Here, though, once she finds out I totally get her beating herself up for not seeing it. Feeling simultaneously mad at herself for not suspecting him and at Lex for fooling her. I felt so bad for her there, with her half-hearted, confused protesting as everything was sinking in. Poor Chloe.

“We’re not saying that there isn’t good in him,” Aw, I love this group. As much as Vic hates Lex, he threw that in to make Chloe not feel so bad. Also considerate was the crew including everyone in this share fest. Not only did they deserve to know, but I'm sure it helped Chloe not being the only one in the dark.

I was wondering when you were going to ramp up their romantic relationship, and I think you did it at just the right time. Always appreciate the slow burn you're so good at, but I was juuuuust starting to get a bit antsy about when it would be outright addressed. Perfect timing. I cannot wait for their date night. :)

And again, thank you for your wonderful feedback! The happy should continue in the next chapter with the date night. This story required a lot of set-up, so there was less focus on the Chloe/Oliver relationship in the last few parts. That said, their relationship is a big part of the next two chapters. After that, well, I'm glad you like my angst?

I'm also glad you love Evie, because I'm having so much fun writing her again because she's so immersed in my headcanon. She's pushy on certain things, but especially with her abilities, she meddles less than certain people. Because she is happy for her friends and wants them to embrace happiness on their terms.

I went back and forth with the Lex reveal, or whether to have it at all, but this felt the most natural for me. I couldn't have Chloe be oblivious forever, and I couldn't see this many people lying to her any longer (or underestimating her intelligence). It's a tough pill for her to swallow, but this is just the start of the unraveling of the case.

That's also why it's important for the team to be on the same page and to support each other. They are going to need each other in the coming chapters, and each character has an important role in what's to come.
