My apologies if I repeat myself. :) This is such a solid piece with impressive characterization for your first time writing Peggy. I certainly hope it's not the last.

I really liked how they handled Daniel on the show, and you wrote him so well here. It was pretty obvious from the beginning they were setting him up to be her 'love interest', even if they didn't pursue it past friends on the show (rightfully so). I worried in the beginning that he might come across as too weak of a personality for Peggy, but they did a great job of showing, not telling, how she came to respect him.

“I figured if everything went south, there would be at least one competent agent left at the SSR.” This might be my favorite line and a very Peggy way of explaining herself.

Thanks again, Sera. You just keep getting better and better. :)

No apologies necessary! I do that all the time.

Not going to lie, I want to write her again. She's a lot of fun to write, and I think like Snowbarry, writing these two makes me ship them.

I blame the potential partner dynamic, as I'm so with you here. Daniel is a former soldier, and it was nice to see that he's a nice guy who can also take care of himself (I also liked that he wasn't afraid to take Peggy down to find the truth). He pretty much had me sold when he took the homeless guy down with his crutch. I'm a sucker for resourcefulness in fights and learning how to kick ass with a crutch is right up my alley. Holding his own against Dotty was solid too.

That's one of my favourite lines too. I think it was one of the first I wrote and I was glad it still worked when I gave it context.

Thanks again, Sera. You just keep getting better and better. :)

Aww... now I get repetitive. Thank you :)
