First off, it's such an interesting idea to have essentially a canon piece with only a few touches of AU, their parents still alive and Oliver never revealing his identity. Those things would be complete game changers in their lives, but I say few touches because they're not the focus here. You've kept focus on Chloe's lingering issues with their relationship which makes it feel more canon than it should. I love when people continue to explore Chloe's issues post-marriage because, while I wouldn't have wanted them to delve into them on the show, there's no way she would have been 100% ok with what happened. I have my own issues with how they handled Chloe in the eps before the marriage. "I can't call you my boyfriend but I've never doubted that I love you; You don't have to do it alone but I'm taking a job in another city and not telling you; We're married now that ( ... )

"I can't call you my boyfriend but I've never doubted that I love you; You don't have to do it alone but I'm taking a job in another city and not telling you; We're married now that fixes everything!" See, and this almost works for me. The first is oddly explainable because you can love someone, but be afraid of the reality outside of the relationship, which is Chloe to a tee. While the second one went over my head entirely while watching the show (good catch), I think it's just Chloe fighting her demons (what she wants vs. what she thinks she has to do) (heck she could be trying to convince herself of that), while the last is not "fixes everything," but rather the acceptance to allow herself to be happy ( ... )
