It's freezing!
My goodness, Paradise my ass! It's fricken cold out there today. I woke up to shivering on the bed, and it wasn't even me! My little Munch was shivering to death, so of course I grab him and pull him under the covers with me to warm up. He was incredibly greatful.
Going into work late today at 9am. I really have learned to hate working midday because all the SHIT goes down at work. Flights delayed, cancelled, weather delays, etc... and nothing to put them on. I'm in baggage services today (whoopee) so that means all that and crankier people because their luggage didn't travel with them.
Here's to a great new year, I'm already over it.
On another note, I've started playing SIMS2 again. Wow, I forgot (briefly) how addictive it is. Of course, I've not played once without cheating (well, maybe once for 10 minutes, but then I got bored), because having an unlimited about of funds is important. Now, I'm just moving them around, I am making them work and educating them so that they're happy, but I'd be lying if I wasn't using cheating things to up their attitudes or keep them at "ADULT" rather than allowing them to age normally. Of course, their kids are and that's a little weird, but oh well - it's my game.
Getting excited, because we're having our first meeting for the Live! Human Wizard Chessmatch for the possible auditionees. We've decided NOT to take a full chessboard of 32 people, as the scheduling would be insane. We're going to take the most committed to the show (those that have worked with us for the Medieval Fair and have made rehearsals work and have limited conflicts) to cast as major characters to fight (sword, wand, hand-to-hand, stunt work, etc...) in the chessmatch as the moves are called (most likely by Voldemort and Harry) and then the big MELEE fight where the entire chessboard will be fighting at once. We're taking at least 16 - 20 and filling the rest of the squares on the board with con friends. Granted, we might have their normal cosplay characters cast (for this show only) and might ask them to be random Death Eaters or Order members to step in and hold off people while the rest of the show continues. It'll be good to involve our con friends, maybe get a celebrity on the board or even Steve VanderArk involved, but a lot of it is still in the planning. I am truly treating this like my baby, because I've been thinking of doing something like this since LUMOS - after I saw cosplayers do a performance. I'm so glad that it finally presented itself to do.
