Azkatraz arrival/travel plans
Okay FList...who's going?
I've spoken to tatiana422 (the Narcissa to my Bellatrix) and she and I have thought out our plan of action.
The movie is released on July 17, Friday. Which means there is going to be a wicked midnight celebration for the film everywhere. So, we'd rather see it with the potter-philes that are here in Sarasota (much like when Dark Knight came out, there were like.....15 of us!), like the husbands (so that they can make fun of us - and will!) and the friends that might not be attending Azkatraz. The bad part - we won't be playing Quidditch this year.
For some ridiculous reason, Quidditch will be on Friday! WTF? Registration opens on Thursday, then there is this massive line party (which would be totally awesome, but alas, we want to see the movie with the husbands) and then nothing. So, we've decided that we're going to fly out after the movie. No kidding - like the midnight movie will probably get out about 330-4a and our flight will be at 6am. So, why bother going to sleep? Just get on up to the airport. We'd arrive in SFO about 1p (West coast time) and go from there. Have a nap and then get jazzed, because there is a Wizard Wrock thing that night and we want to stay CLEAR AWAY FROM IT. Yeah, not a wrock fangirl. Not to mention (and no offense to my younger friends)...it's waaaay too immature for me. I mean, I have no problems dressing up and cosplaying the co-president of the Stubby Boardman fanclub, but really, no way. SOOOO...we've decided to do a Grad Party that Friday night and see the movie and do a mild pub crawl!! Now we are talkin! Then, enjoy the rest of the con on Sat and leave on Wed ( a day after the con ends - no more rushing this time).
So, that's the plan. As for costumes go, I'll be bringing:
Bellatrix Black (pre-Azkaban/Lestrange)
Hogwarts!Bellatrix
Bellatrix Lestrange (post-azkaban)
Stubby Boardman FanClub president
Azkaban Quidditch team (maybe)
Escapee costume with my sister Narcissa (work in progress)
...and another group cosplay, if we do it.
Prison Break costume ball outfit....hm....
I've thought about it...I just cannot be Bellatrix without going to Azkatraz. Just cannot. Will not! Am going!
