Right...so, I've promised a post on Brandi Carlile.
SHE ROCKS! Like...10 HARD ASSES! Very, very HARD asses.
Her concert was at this completely trendy place in downtown Seattle called The Triple Door. Very comedy-club-ish, everyone seated at these funky little tables ordering fancy appetizers and drinks. Lights really low, just the flickering candles on each table. Big ass stage with a huge, grand red velvet curtin. So...yeah. Very cool.
The man that opened for her was pretty cool, very soft, just him and his acoustic guitar and that funny echo-y microphone effect. The last song he song was...tribal, african or south american or something, all vocals and chanting and stuff. Coolness mucho.
Then SHE came on. Chick ass chicks and guitars just BELONG together. God can she sing. It was great to hear songs that I know from Youthapolis and her new songs that she wrote on tour. (She just off tour with HANSON ::thinks of Greco in his funny girly Hanson shirt::) So yeah, go listen to her. BUY SOME CDs!! It's TOTALLY worth it.

Heh, I was cruising the web yesterday and I stumbled onto one of those, "You know you're addicted to _____ when you____" http://www.blogthings.com/addicted.html and totally felt the anime, DBZ and Star Wars pages. Anyway, it inspired me to pull out my DBZ DVDs (thank you Anne/Lois, love you for it) and start watching again from the first episode. I remember rushing home to catch the episodes, taping them when I couldn't make it and totally getting Em hooked. ^.~ Heh, DBZ ruled my LIFE in middle school. Heh, I love that I'm such a big loser. But really how can you not love quotes like these:
Raditz: "Arrr, next time I'll cook the meat."
Raditz: "Why so blue green man? Is it because you're powerless to help your friend, or because you're just plain ugly?"
Piccolo: "What an awful, awesome power. Even his breath is a weapon."
Such lovable bad guys, ne? It almost makes you sad to see them get RADICALLY RIPPED APART BY PICCOLO'S SUPER HOT SPECIAL BEAM CANNON!!!!! ::Cough:: Right. So...then...NEXT!!
Ok then, ta for now, everyone wish me luck on writing two bullshit papers in two nights and on my Japanese final!
