Chase is not even remotely the kind of guy she’s daydreamed about, the few times she’s let herself daydream. He’s pushy, and kind of a jerk, and he plays sports. He is either the most dense human being she’s ever met or *pretending* to be the most dense human being she’s ever met, and both options make her want to slug him in the shoulder. He’s the kind of guy who dates cheerleaders and rich girls and doesn’t give girls like her a second glance unless he’s making a joke at her expense.
She hardly knows him.
Gert really, really likes him.
Gert is totally, utterly, completely doomed.
