so far today has been slightly unfortunate.
however, the rain subsided a bit and i was able to head out to do some errands i had planned on doing earlier on in the week but the storm was much too scary to drive in.
i need 7 books for this semester and just the 3 that i purchased today was 200 dollars! UGGH.
so i called my grandfather because he told me he would reimburse me for anything school related. only to hear my mother answer my grandparents house phone and inform me that my grandmothers sister had died this morning.
majority of anyone my age's reaction would be "oh that sucks" but im a bean and family is a big deal so i was actually pretty bummed. she was always going to see her and on the phone with her and every year when i was a child we would to go her huge mansion of a house in the richer part of orange county. [i seriously wish i had a photo of this place its mind boggling.]
anyways. i feel like an asshole because the tone in my mothers voice was terrifying when she answered the phone. "im here all day..mija, theres something i have to tell you.."
i was relieved to hear that my grandparents were okay. i feel pretty dickish but i wasnt as close to my tia emma as i am with my grandma.
Vegas next weekend. Im pretty excited...I just hope Tim doesnt annoy me.
