Single's Awareness Day/Black Heart's Ball
So what we have here is an anti-hearts-and-flowers preclusion to Saint Valentine's Day.
This is not meant to be some sort of bitter testament. As I am sure most of you have noticed, I am entirely too smitten to be terribly angst ridden regarding any sort of romanticism. Rather I thought it would be a kick to have a "paint it black" approach to this infamous Hallmark Holiday. On this night we will celebrate our darker spirits and revel in the grand drama of lost love and shattered dreams. We will laugh at the bitter tears each of us have shed for lovers who were unworthy of our esteem from the start. We will face the demons of broken vows with exuberance and rise above the lovelorn ennui that caused us all to sit in our darkened chambers spewing bad poetry.
This could really be fun.
The Date: Friday the 13th of February, 2009
The Time: 6:30ish, Rogue Standard. Ages 16+ are welcome until 10pm. 21+ thereafter.
The Theme: Overly dramatic, ridiculously dark and depressing.
The Dress Code: Tragic. (interpret that as you will)
The Venue: EZ Pickin's Rustic Saloon, Denver

There will also be vendors from Slumber Parties Inc, Toxic9 Studios Photography and massage by Rebecca Harmon.
Other entertainment will include activities such as "build your own Voodoo doll", "Bad Pick-up Line Bingo", and dart boards to which you may add photographs.
