The most haunted places in the world...
Ok, I was thinking about it earlier and I have to say these are probably the the most haunted places (or at least most actively haunted) in the world:

There's a whole boat load of history that goes with this place. A woman named Pearl was murdered by two men who were part of a "satanic cult" in the late 1800's. This cult used to meet where the nightclub stands now. the place started out as a slaughter house and had a deep well in the basement which is where all the blood and gunk from the animals bled off to. After the two men removed the head of the woman (who was 5 1/2 months pregnant) It is believed it was tossed down the well or used in some sort of right. In fact, the two men were offered a life sentence insted of being hung if they would tell where the head was (this offer was made on the gallows)and both refused (rumor began spreading that they feared the wrath of hell if they revealed its whereabouts) but one of the men swore before he was hung that he would be back to haunt the land for eternity.
In the 50's another young lady, whose father was in organized crime, tried to murder her father by poisoning him. when she failed, she was found to have killed herself (in the basement, where the well is).She was also 5 1/2 months pregnant.
Bobby Mackey's wife reported being savagely pushed down the flight of stairs that leads to the basement when she was 5 1/2 month's pregnant herself. Supposedly she looked up to see a man who looked exactly like one of the killers standing at the top of the stairs., Reportedly, another time she felt someone try to do the same thing when she caught a smell of roses and felt someone push her back up and heard a female voice telling her to leave now.This is believed to have ben the ghost of the young woman who murdered herself there in the 50's.
The handyman who lived on the premise was the first to experience the weirdness and claims unseen forces led him to dig up the well in the basement (which he previously had no idea was there). years later, when a psychic c was brought in from another town, she reported that the woman's death was used to open a portal to hell and that her head was still at the bottom of the well.

Reportedly, the wtown itself was founded by a family that was cursed. Whether this is true or not, there have undeniably been weird happenings going on in the area since trhe 1600's literally dozens of people have gone mad and/or killed themselves in dudley town. The place got so bad that eventually they just had to move the whole town. All that is left in the area now is the overgrown road to where the town was and the brick foundations of the houses. Cult activity is supposed to happen here as well (one policeman reported finding the bloody backbone of a cow here) and many people have reported strange things moving in the woods. As one goes up the trail, all the sounds of birds and insects stop the second you enter dudley town. Many have also reported seeing a large "blacker than black" shape with no true form that seems to follow people through the woods. Others have reported being pushed,scratched, and held in one of the empty basement foundations by unseen hands. It is definitely not the type of plac eone wants to go at night.
#3 Highgate cemetery:
Not only is this where Hg wells got his inspiration for the time machine and Bram Stoker his ideas for dracula, but Karl Marx is buried here as well. Not to mention it is probably the only place of a witnessed case of vampirism. Reportedly during one winter in the 60's several individuals reported seeing a figure in black robes "floating" over the tombstones. It was said to have wondered up to a particular mausoleum and have disappeared. Several hours later, a man was found in the graveyard with his throat tore up and losing blood. He was taken to a hospital where he died three days later before telling of what happened. After this incident, the specific tomb was opened and there was a corpse found in a lesser state of decay than the others and there was blood stains on the floor. Supposedly the coffin containing the body was nailed shut with silver nails and the mausoleum's door was bricked off, with priests spreading garlic between the mortar.
