Tu es la 2e à me demander des photos. Peut-être bien la motivation dont j'avais besoin ! Et oui, nous nous remettons aux voyages bein. Nous pensons faire un court séjour pendant les petites vacances tous les ans :)

I think we're all apprehensive about the next French presidential election. I'm sorry your daughter is having to learn about bigotry, but you're right - it's best to prepare her.

I can't let her be un prepared for the first time someone will call her a "bougnoule" or something equally offensive. She's been watching the film "Mais qu'est-ce qu'on a fait au bon Dieu" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_(Bad)_Weddings, which I find hilarious and so close to truth. You put the parents in the movie in a blue collar environment in North France and you have me back in the nineties, when I married my husband. I also think that a comedy like this is a good and not too violent introduction to racism.

Yay for travel!

Political developments around the world this year are indeed worrisome. It is truly sad that your little one is already starting to see the ugliness in the world around her. Have courage as you prepare her!
