Oh, Carsten! - Update, Issues, the Sexing... grrrr
For those of you who are beginning to wonder -- yes, we WILL be proceeding with the sexing between Carsten and Eric, although we're still in foreplay ... although, come on, the character development stuff is fun too, right? As long as I promise this isn't one giant cock tease and we actually get to the sexing? I'm trying to make the wait worth it for you, I swear. The problem I am having is, I ended up writing Carsten Visits Fangtasia in a series of snippets that are random even by MY standards, and now I'm having to fit all the pieces together like stringing the beads in the correct order on a necklace. I keep fiddling with the sexing (rearranging the beads) because it's easier and more fun than turning my attention to some more pressing plot development issues I'm having trouble resolving to my satisfaction. But I better resolve them if we are going to move on.
Also re the sexing: I was trying to create two alternate versions of the Sexing chapter -- one maybe PG13 and one very much NC17 -- and guess what, the PG13 one has been a total bust. HUGE news flash there I am sure. I like angst and cuddling as much as the next person, but I really like the explicit stuff, as I guess anyone who's spent much time in my journal has figured out. So now I'm a little disappointed in myself that I seem constitutionally unable to provide a quasi-porn-free Diet Coke alternative. Maybe I'll just advise people to skip that chapter and come back for the one that follows? I don't know what else to do. {I'll whisper it here in my journal: I am not entirely clear why some people are so squicked out by the sex... it seems to me that an essential part of the slash relationship is sexual. Do people not want to believe that? Or do they just not want to read about it?}
