And yech, the torture-details. Which I struggled with endlessly, the wording. I wanted them to be horrific without making anyone hurl. And they (of course!) vague enough that people can come up with their own ideas about the precise details. Having said that, I thought it was sweet and funny and very Godric to give Eric a little something else to think about. And -- hey -- Godric's strange, but he's not squeamish ( ... )

Yeah, what's a little glamouring? Seriously, it's mind control (at best) and so nefarious. I do wonder canon-wise whether vampires would keep it as some huge secret from humans.
