(no subject)
My life in a nutshell:
1. Just got back from a long weekend in Maine. Was quite pleasant despite a minor killer headache. Read two books (The Emperor's Children and Who Will Run The Frog Hospital) and played pinochle. Also napped in the hammock and watched Greg water ski (mmmm).
2. Work is going fine. Potential interesting things in my future.
3. Alas, while checking my e-mail over the weekend, I had two e-mails from separate people with "Sad News" in the subject. Sigh. Condolences all around :-/
4. On the upswing, my parents and sister are coming up next weekend. Yes, that's right, Jamie is back from l'Afrique! I can't wait to see her! We may make fondue. And go to Providence to see relatives. And will be moving her back into her dorm.
5. My weekends are booked through beginning of October.
6. Ummm... I've been thinking alot about writing. And doing a little here and there.
7. I have read, like, 70 books in the past year! Whoa-whaat?
8. My desk is a mess.
9. Over the weekend we ate s'mores. Marshmallows roasted over the fire in the fire place. Very yum.
10. There are lots of job openings at work right now. Why is everyone leaving? Did I miss a memo? Ps. if you are looking for an entry level job in publishing in beantown, lemme know.
