Happy Halloween everyone! Alas, we only got two groups of trick-or-treaters, the second of which are related to us. But they were all super cute and this means more candy for me. I heart junior mints and butterfingers.
No I did not have a costume, but we did carve a jack-o-lantern. Pictures to come?
Work is going well now that I have caught up on everything. November is a busy month for me in general, during which many lovely people are coming to visit and crash at my house and I have decided that by the end of Thanksgiving, a wedding dress will be ordered or in my possession. Tomorrow night a co-worker and I are going to a free workshop on Book Design hosted by Houghton Mifflin. Huzzah.
I am proud to say that last night I submitted my first story. "Mon Seul Recours" is now sitting in Glimmer Train's online submission pile. Glimmer Train is a pretty well known journal, "tier two" according to this one site I read, so no super high hopes. But they pay money. For writing. Which is stellar. So, fingers crossed. There will be more submissions in future days.
Now, time for HOUSE.
