Fic: More Than A Rogue - (29/29) - No promises

Jun 15, 2009 22:25

Overall summary: Sometimes we get the balance wrong. Life is not about knowing the answers, life is what happens while you're looking for them. And the bad decisions? The screw-ups? They're what keep it interesting.

Follows on from X3 - after the cure has failed - Rogue's POV
Genre: Action/Shipper/Angst/Humour fic... so basically everything.

Sorry it took me so long to reply (and I know you said I don't have to... but meh. I'm gonna anyway *g*) - I've been away honeymooning it for a week. Awesome. Thanks for the congrats btw!

I loved all your feedback - thank you so much! It's taken me over 2 years to write this baby, so it makes it all worthwhile!

And about writing original stuff? This fic was my testing ground - I made a promise to myself that if I could get through this fic & people still liked it at the end - then I'd tidy up (read: edit the hell out of) one of my original stories & see how it goes. I've written 2 & half novels but never done anything with them. It's a (lack of) confidence thing... so you have no idea how much feedback like yours means to me! I might actually get there one day!

But please, please don't give up on writing Rogan yourself. I had a similar experience in another fandom, where one author wrote this fic that said everything I wanted to say about the characters, and I loved it so much that I never wrote any of the fanfic in my head. I just thought...what's the point? But the beauty of the x-men verse is that everything can be so different, it's so changeable depending on your approach. And besides - my fic is far from perfect! I know it too well - I see all its cracks *g*

Keep writing Rogan - k? The world needs more Rogan writers!
