Returning to Terra Firma
I've picked up Terra Firma again. If I write a minimum of 1K a day I'll have it finished by the end of the month, but I want to push for 2k. I know it sounds like I'm sick of this story, and I kind of am, but more out of frustration at not being able to get what I'm seeing in my head down on paper in a compelling way. I love the story and am still committed to it, but I'm ready to be done with the rewrite and move to editing mode.
Yesterday was a good day. I got 1k by doing 100 word sprints. I think I'll continue to work with those. It breaks everything down into bite sized pieces. All I have to do is tell myself, "Just get 100 words down." And 100 leads to another 100 and soon you've met your goal. It really is helping as the words aren't flowing as easily as they did before. I've just got to work through it.
