2009 Highlights
2009! The year of the swine flu and economy crisis!
Here's my highlights (thank you FB status updates for helping me remember):
-taught a class of 40 undergraduate/graduate students at UA
-got a nasty case of strep throat and a double ear infection
-passed advanced biochem and graduated with my MS!
-almost took a job in Alaska
-got offer my awesome, first big girl job in Birmingham
-commuted from Tuscaloosa to Birmingham for 2 months (YUCK)
-bought a house, moved
-found out I have hypertension (despite diet & exercise) and hypothyroidism
-learning to live on a STRICT budget - can we say PBJ's? Yum.
-had our 1st anniversary, turned 25
-made new friends :) Hey Carrie!
-became obsessed with Twilight, became re-obsessed with Harry Potter
-work work work work, that's what I do! Getting used to no extended school breaks.
All in all, not a bad year :) Here's wishing you a happy 2010!
