Hobbling along in the darkness, Roger wonders how dirty he is, having stayed in the tunnel for so long.
It's too dark to tell.
The only thing he can really tell for certain is the sword in his hand.
Are his hands bloodied?
Suddenly, he sees light at the end.
And despite his fears of the truth, knows he must go.
