All classes, October 2002, Sidi set CD 1
Ibrahim: As-salamu alaykum everyone! Let's begin. There's basically two ways of working with people. You can work from the bottom up or the top down. When I started this I used to be a bottom-up person. But since becoming a Sufi I became top-down. Ultimately what we're trying to do is return everything back to Allah so that it's perfect in its nature because Allah is perfect. So if there is disease or there is sickness or there is separation or confusion, it's because at some level there's a lack of connection to the divine light. What we need to do is create that connection.
What I have found is there's a direct and an indirect way to heal. The direct way is, when you find out exactly what's going on, you understand it, and then you invoke Allah to change it. When I say invoke, I mean you petition the Most High to bring forth the healing light that's needed to make change. The other way is simply not to know but just to do different types of prayers and supplications that create change.
When we want to know what's going on, there's basically three ways of knowing. There's the knowing that comes through tajalli or direct revelation. This is considered the highest. When you're sitting with something and you're wanting to understand what's going on, you're actually moving into a a very deep state of oneness with Allah and Allah sends you directly the information, the light, the revelation and the healing that's needed for any specific case.
When that happens, it either happens through order or it happens through guidance, meaning that when Allah sends it to you, He either gives you guidance so you have revelation of what's happening or He gives you an order which shows you what's happening and why. As we receive that information, there's a lot we can do with it as intercessors. I like to think of us as enzymes.
Anybody know biochemistry in here? What's an enzyme do? It's a catalyst. If you had A to go to B, on its own it might take ten years. But if you put a catalyst in there, it takes a week, or an hour. We're catalysts; Allah allows us to be catalysts. He gives us what's called the ability to intercede in any particular case. That doesn't mean that we have to; and when I say intercede, we're not interceding. It's Allah in us that's interceding.
Let me give you an example. When somebody's sick and they come in, they have a sickness which is going to go its route. But if you go before Sidi and Sidi prays for you and in the moment of prayer he takes the sickness out of your soul, is that not intercession? But who's interceding? It's Allah interceding through Sidi's prayers to bring Allah in the person who's sick back to the state where Allah is unveiled. So it's Allah healing Allah in the other person, bringing Allah back to perfection. Now, Allah would have never left perfection, but we left the perfection in our relationship to Allah. Does that make sense?
What I have found is that if we are going to make change in a person, and I say 'we' meaning that Allah gives permission for change to happen, then the way to make that is through our petitioning to Allah. What we want to do is call forth the Most High, and we want to ask the Most High to make change. However, Allah says one thing. He says, Allah likes to change those people who've changed themselves.
What does that mean? That means that if you don't work on changing yourself, is Allah going to give you the change? Maybe, if He's in the deep state of mercy for some person, and maybe not, because He might not be in the deep state of mercy with you. In other words, he makes the change when He feels to give the change, but He gives the change for different reasons. He gives the change when He sees us being in the deep state of politeness, in the deep state of tawba, repentence, in the deep state of surrender. He's looking for those things. If you are in those states, He'll give it to you more easily.
As sort of hobby, I've watched many people heal and I'm very interestered particularly in miraculous healings. I always like to see the miracles, I like to understand what creates a miracle in people. If you look deeply, the miracle comes for one reason only: that God grants it. Only that God granted it. But why does God grant a miracle? Why does He give it? Because there are some diseases that we just are not going to heal through anything but a miracle.
Why does God grant a miracle? He grants is because of the sincerity and the level of return that you do yourself. I've spoken about this year by year but I'll give this example again. When my friend Sid Levenson, who was diagnosed with very severe, aggressive melanoma on his face, when he looked at it, he did the work. He was working very hard to change his disease. He would begin to work with the psychological issues and the emotional issues that were related to the melanoma.
But the borders of the tumor would change but the tumor itself didn't change. By the way, that was my experience working with a lot of cancer before I met Sidi. I would work with it, we'd handle the energies, we'd change the etheric body, we'd change some of the emotional-psychological things. The borders of the tumor would change but the tumor didn't go away.
That was always an enigma for me. Many diseases, when you change the emotional-psychological, it left. But in cancer it doesn't. That was what always used to get me; why cancer wouldn't leave with that.
So Sid had a miraculous healing. I said, "Sid, how did it happen?" He said, "You know, Ibrahim, I was in Auschwitz in Nazi Germany. When they put me into the camps, they killed everybody in my family. I was Orthodox Jewish before they put me into the camp. When I watched everybody be killed, I lost my faith in God."
I guess he was in his late sixties or seventies when this started to happen, when he got the melanoma. He realized one day --and I want you to feel this, everybody tune into this-- he realized he had lost his connection to God. And in that realization, somehow he turned and he reconnected himself to God. That's what I want you to feel. Everybody close your eyes and feel what he did.
Watch particularly his heart. Look how his heart turned and opened and completely said, "My Lord, I am so sorry for having forgotten you for these last forty years. I am so incredibly sorry. Please accept everything from me."
Can everybody feel that when you tune in to him? That state is called tawba, that's called repentence. He made a complete repentence on his own. When he returned, if you look at his light, he literally put his hands up and he bowed to the floor and he said, "My beloved God, accept me and all my mistakes and everything I've done and please return me to Your presence, to Your grace."
Now, everybody in this room, if you want to have your life more easy, or you want to heal, you have to learn that tawba. You have to learn how to do that.
Many people say to me, "Oh, Ibrahim, I return to Allah. I ask for repentence." I look and the return is something like this [folds hands, bends head stiffly, says in stuffy voice:] "I've come back to you, God!"
Now, that doesn't work. It has to be the real tawba. You have to really deeply, really put yourself down before God. It's a stripping away of everything: of your ego, of your pride, of your mind, of your desires, of your beliefs, of your rage, of your thoughts, of your past. That's what a real tawba is. Everyone of us have to learn to make that in the deep way.
When he made that tawba, and he put himself down, something happened. Very high up, let's talk about the realms of God.
The highest state of God is a state called Hahut. This the realm where the Prophets live. There's a statement which I Iove that Ibn Arabi, one of the great Sufi masters, made. He said, "When I reached my complete knowledge of everything that I knew, I found myself of the shore on the country that the prophets lived in."
"On the shore." When he reached the highest level that he reached in his life, he reached the shore of Hahut, where the Prophets live. I love that because it means that this is where the Prophets lived, and he reached the shore of this state.
All Insan al-Kamils, meaning perfect masters, perfect people, have entered this state and live here. Now, how deeply they live, only they know, but htey live in this world. Most of us have no idea what that world is. It's a very hard thing to understand. It's the sublte of the subtle of the subtle. One thing we can say about this state of Hahut is it is the state where the order of God is created. Meaning, this is the state where God creates every single atom's worth of movement.
Now, you and I don't live in this state. We live below this state somewhere. But the Insan al-Kamals, of which Sidi is one, and generally there are several that are in the body at any time, and the Prophets, they live here. What they can do, and this is the beauty of being with Sidi, through their prayers, Allah will often change the order of somebody's existence for htem. Meaning, because they are so close in proximity to God, that when they pray, Allah will change the existence of somebody to help them. That's the beauty of having somebody at this level.
Be very careful not to worship this. Remember, when you worship, your worship is only with who? With God. It's not to worship any human being, whether it's Muhammad or Jesus or Sidi or anyone; it's not to worship the human being. Be in deepest respect, humbleness and politeness with them, but your worship must always go back to the One.
Now, when this state comes down into the realm of God which we call Lahut --and this is the best i can do with my understanding of it. This is the heavenly world where we see all that's going on. It's hard to understand and I can feel some of you struggling with it, and to be honest, I'm still understanding it. It's a very, very deep thing.
What happens in this state, the order of God which is created here [Hahut] is made manifest here [Lahut]. It becomes seeable. All of you, what I'm trying to teach you in this class, is to be able to read this. Meaning that I want you to be able to look at this, see this, understand this, so you know how to guide your healing. I"m not asking you to change the order because I don't think you're going to be able to do that until you become an Insan al-Kamal. But I am asking you to be able to see it and to know what it is.
When I'm working with healing with people, I always go here first, not to Hahut but to Lahut, and I look to see what is Allah's order for disease. Because if His order is for the person to die, there's nothing I can do about it. However, I can bring him before Sidi, because Sidi may be able to change the order, and has. But Sidi can't always chagne the order either, because Allah is Allah and Allah makes what Allah makes.
WHen Allah gives the order for somebody to go, all we can do is bow our heads and accept His order, no matter who they are, how much me love them, how much we want it to change. It doesn't work that way. Allah is al-Hakim, He is the wise one who knows why He orders what He orders. I've had to accept this, and it's not always easy when it's somebody close to you.
Any questions now? Yes. You're the one I was waiting for.
Woman: If you're still a novice at this, as the first year students are, which I am one, and you say to check into Lahut, are we even capable of doing that?
Ibrahim: You're learning. I don't expect you to be perfect at it, but you're learning. You can learn to hear the order, and you should. Some of you will get it within a few weeks, some of you it may take a year, but you will slowly begin to know it if you listen.
As I've said before, Allah gives the order for all of us and we all have to follow that order to the best we can. Order doesn't mean that Allah's forcing you to do what you don't want. Order means that Allah's giving to you what's right for your existence. That's were people get into struggle. They say, "I've got to fight with God because God's going to make me do what I don't want to do."
God doesn't want to make you do anything you don't want to do. God actually wants to give to you exactly what you need so you can be happy. Following the order of Allah means you're happy. It means you're doing whats perfectly right for you, as opposed to doing who knows what's right for you. Does that make sense?
So the answer is, yes, you do have to learn to read the order. But again, it's not something you want to push yourself into, it's hard, if I don't get it I'm not right or I'm bad. Don't make that out of it. It's easy. It's what's in your heart. It's what's in your heart. That's Allah's order. That's how you find it; it's what gives you passion for life. In time, if you go very deep and you keep traveling deeper and deeper and deeper, you'll find it's what holds you in the truth, it gives you truth all the time.
As we grow, sometimes we reach a state where we don't want to hear the order anymore. Because we start to feel so good in ourselves, we think we've arrived, so we stop listening to the order of God. That's a very dangerous state when you reach that time and many people get stuck there.
When a person enters into the world of Jabarut, the world of the soul, they feel so good, so great, so grand, very many times they say, "I have reached the ultimate state. I have traveled so far. I am experiencing so much. I know so much. There's nowhere else to go." If you reach that state and you enter that state, be careful, don't stop; go forward, continue to have yourself travel past that state, move through Jabarut, move through the realm of the soul, all the way back to God. If you stop, you'll feel great, but you won't have reached.
If you're sailing a ship, it's like you can see the islands in the distance. But you haven't reached them yet. You say, "I see the islands, so I stop. I feel so good, I finally see the islands." But you haven't reached the islands yet, so don't stop here.
In the world of Jabarut, there are ninety-nine Qualities. This is what Sidi's asked of us as well; he told me, "Ibrahim, teach people the Qualities. I want you to teach them to heal through the Qualities." That was his order for me about a year and half ago. What does that mean? It means you've got to understand the qualities! And it means you have to understand how to heal through the Qualities, which means to absorb the quality in its perfect way.
So if a person doesn't accept the quality of al-Wadud, the beloved, the quality of the lover, then the heart is blocked and the heart will develop heart disease. If the person doesn't accep the quality of al-Aziz, then person is not accepting their strength and they'll develop pancreatic disease or liver disease, depending.
So learning how to work with the qualities is how to heal the soul. What we're trying to teach you, through changing the qualities, we're changing the soul to be a mirror for God. This is the deepest work we're going to be teaching in the next three years. In the third year program this is specifically our work: to now learn every quality clearly and how to bring each quality back to God.
There are master qualities, I call them. It's very clear what they are. Read the first five or six in your qualities book. Ar-Rahim, the quality of mercy. Ar-Rahman, the quality of compassion. As-Salam, the quality of peace. These are master qualities and almost every disease you have to move it back through the mercy, through the compassion, through the peace, to bring one back into health.
When I look at people today, like in the Healing Intensive program, and I look at the souls, the souls look something like this. They're large things, like balls of light, but in the souls there's lots of stuff moving. [drawing on white board] See like this? These would be like a confluence of qualities that are twisted in the soul and end up layering down into the heart and into the body and causing disease. When I see this in the soul, I have to try to work out through Allah, meaning I have to pray to Allah and say, "Allah, show me how to bring this quality to a state of allignment and perfection for that person so they don't need the disease."
Now, if you watch Sidi, who I've learned this from, this is almost always where he goes first. Because of the power of the world of Hahut, he commands, meaning he says, "My beloved Lord, in Your holy name I ask you," but with the asking, there's a commanding, and the command begins to wipe this stuff out of the soul and the darkening of the qualities begins to change until the person becomes complete and perfect in the soul. THe soul becomes bright light.
When that happens, he says, "You're healed." My experience has been that the soul can beecome pure light but the physical body hasn't changed. I've seen that with a number of people. And Sidi will still say they're healed. That used to drive me crazy as a doctor. I'd say, "How can you say they're healed because this turned to bright light when the phsyical body is still shwoing that they have cancer or they have HIV or they have MS or they have something else that's going on." Sidi would say, "Just wait and you'll see that given time it will work itself down and will be healed."
I'm still being patient with that piece. Not in complete in acceptance of it but deeply acceptent as time goes on.
One of the things that I want you to learn as we travel in the healing is to understand that when you return the quality back to Allah that you simultaneously are returning your quality back to Allah. So when you work on somebody and you help them bring their Rahim back to Allah, then your Rahim is being returned back to Allah. Healing is a way to increase the blessings of your own journey.
Also remember, for those of you who are seeking the Unity, who are seeking the realization of God, which I know are most of you, you'll have to return all these qualities back to God yourself. All the qualities have to come back to God. But you're not returning them, that's the point. Allah is returning them through your walking. Do you understand what I mean by that? Meaning that the twenty-eight stations are designed to do exactly this. If you've understood every single thing in the twenty-eight stations, embodied it and live it, you've returned all ninety-nine qualities back to God. It's woven into the stations. It's the understanding of all the stations.
Personally, I like knowledge. Personally, I'm interested in the knowledge and the understanding of what this means. I also believe, in the deep way to be a real teacher for someone, you have to be able to understand what they need. So I like to teach through the knowledge so you have the understanding of every step of the way on the journey back to Allah.
When a person's returned to Allah, all the qualities inside them have returned themselves to be a reflection of the pure light of God. Meaning if I go into the mercy in you, in your soul, the minute I enter the mercy it's like shooting through a tunnel and I end up back in the world of God. This is how I see it.
For each person to travel back through each quality to end up in God is an incredible way to complete one's journey in life. When Nada died a few months ago and left the body, she left with all of her qualities in this state. In the last week of her llife, she completed all the qualities. When she left the body, her whole soul left the body but it didn't stop in the world of Malakut, it didn't stop in the world of Jabarut. It traveled all the way through and put itself in Lahut. It was the most brilliant light I had seen in Lahut and I cried because i knew my wife had become a master, a true, complete master, and even though I missed her deeply, on the other side of it all I could do was rejoice for what she'd reached.
You can reach this as well, now. Meaning I'd like you to reach this before you leave the body, if you can. Why? Not that it really matters, but there's a reason for it. If you reach it before, you can be in service to mankind. That's all. If you reach it at the time of death, that's also fine, but why not return with what you ahve and give it to mankind? Mankind needs it. The world needs it. The earth needs it.
In a deep way, we can all help very deeply, but it's this help of the People, it's the deep help of the world of God that is ultimately going to make the full difference on Earth. This is what we need. We need all people listenng to this level, surrendering to this level, following this level.
Because God does not create wars; humans do, because they're not listening to this, they're listening to something else.
Audience: Is it that when one sees something that's twisted and neurotic in another person or in one's self that that's actually a twisted form of a quality that can be transformed, or is it something else that the light will wash away?
Ibrahim: It could be many things. Whenever you're looking at people... it all depends on how subtle you are in your nature. Some of you go right to the physical body, some of you go to the mental-emotional-psychological side of things, some of you go to the heart, some of you go to the soul, some of you go to God, and you may be focusing anywhere in this grid. Anywhere in this grid, except for maybe up here, needs to be brought into alignment with God.
Now, how do we bring it into alignment? You can't bring it into alignment through your ego. Your self can't untwist the self. But Allah can untwist the self. Do you understand what I mean by that? If you take a piece of your ego and you try to fix your ego with it, all you end up with is a twisted ego, together! But if you take your ego, you can recognize it. "Yes, there twisting here." You bring it before the most high. You bow before the most high. You understand what Allah wants you to make. You take all of your resources, your mind, your heart, your emotions, you apply it to being with Allah and making things as Allah wants. Then everything, in time, will become perfect.
And again, remember, the place that people go off here, is still thinking that you do it. It's only Allah who does it, only Allah who changes it. All you can do is help yourself open to Allah making the change. You see the difference?
Audience: When you talk about clearing the qualities so that they become pure, and Sidi says that you are then healed but maybe the physical body isn't healed. Then you said he said, "But wait, it will be." Then I'm thinking, if it's Allah's order that the physical body isn't healed, will it be? It feels a little bit in contradiction. I've worked a lot with the dying and sometimes I see that it appears that it is the order that the person does die.
Ibrahim: I agree with you. I think that sometimes the soul may change and the order may still be for somebody to die. But in the cases we're talking about, Sidi said it did change and it will work its way down. So I think both are real.
What you have do, you simply have to ask. You have to ask God, "What is Your order? You've healed the person, but is it Your order for them to stay or is it Your order to leave?" And if you're really open, most of the time you can get that answer.
Audience: I have an example and a question. When I reconnected with you August, two years ago, I had severe anemia and the doctors couldn't figure out why. You sent me to Sidi. Five days later I was taking the promise; Sidi gave me one of his remedies and said, "You are healed." I was in a lot of disbelief about that. He came to me in a dream and said, "You're completely healed," and you came to me in the same dream and said, "Yes, you really are completely healed!" My red blood count kept going up slowly, slowly slowly, and then I didn't get blood tests taken for nine months, and it had still gone up but not very fast. I had a live and dry blood cell analysis and I saw with my own eyes there were still irregularities in my blood, and I was like, "What is this? Sidi said I'm healed, Ibrahim said I'm healed, and I believe I'm healed." And I was in the meantime drinking vats of fenugreek tea and doing all kinds of sessions and spiritual walking and all of that, and two years later, almost to the day, when i had another blood test taken, it came back normal. But I couldn't contain the fact that it was going to take two years, but it did.
Ibrahim: It has to do with your acceptance of the healing. How many of you, you meet someone and your soul tells you, "That's the person!" You know it, but it takes you five years before you listen to it. I'm sure everybody's had that at some point in your life haven't you? You're soul tells you, "This is the job for you, the work for you, this is the person for you," but it takes you three years, four years, five years before you accept what the soul knows. That's the same thing that happened for you. If you look in your soul, the pattern of the quality was healed, but your heart said, "I don't know if I'm ready to have that in my life!" So it took time for you to accept that.
Audience: So my question is, if it's the order of Allah, the pattern of my soul changes, Sidi prays for me and it changes, if it's the order of Allah does it matter if I accept it or not, do you know what I mean? Allah is Allah. And I feel like it does matter what I did.
Ibrahim: It happens in its own timing. The more you can accept it, the better. That's why Sidi's very careful about making pictures with people. He doesn't give you any negative to hold onto, because he knows the minute he puts a negative in your mind
we become like dogs with a bone; we don't let it go. He doesn't give you that. He'll just say, "Oh beloved, everything's fine." He's working very hard on you, but he's not going to let you grab that bone because you'll hold onto it.
This is one of the things as students you have to learn, to be very careful about making pictures for someone. To be very aware that everything you say to a person goes into their conscious mind and into their unconscious mind. Consciously they may say, "Oh, no problem, I accept everything you say." But their unconscious mind goes in and makes pictures. You have to be very careful about that. We try not to have you put out anything that could be interpreted by the unconscious mind in a way that's not helpful.
Audience: So the two difference, is that because it's more or less most people's rate of acceptance of the healing?
Ibrahim: Everybody's different. I've seen people do it in one day. ANd I've seen people take five years. You're right in the middle.
Audience: Hi Ibrahim. You taught yesterday a little about putting the perfect picture out to the client. My question is if a more perfect picture comes to you and you put it before God and God says yes, what is the difference between that and changing the order?
Ibrahim: You could not heal the disease if Allah did not order it. Six months ago I was getting three to five calls about severe cancer every day or week, wanting to be heale from cancer. I'd always go to Allah and pray about it and I'd say, "Allah, can I help this person?" I would say that at least half the time the answer was no. Meaning that Allah's order for that person was to complete their process, and I could help them to cross, I could help them to heal their issues, but to help them to physically heal was not something I could do.
So then I would say, "Allah, do You want me to work with that person? Do You want me to spend the time?" because it is a lot of time, a lot of energy. I'll give you an example of this. One of our beloveds, her brother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer about six months ago. Very bad cancer. She asked me to work with him and I prayed. Allah's order was, "He wants to die. You can help him and you can help the family, but not in the way you think," meaning don't expect the physical. So I said, as a gift to our beloved, "Okay, I'll work with your brother."
I worked with him a lot. I must have given him thirty sessions. About three weeks ago the disease energy healed. I watched it, and the tumor shrunk in half. They did a CTC and they said the tumor was way down. But he knew that. He spoke with his wife, and he was having a lot of difficulties with his relationship. When she did not accept him back, he made a decision in his mind that he did not want to go on. He called me three days ago. My heart sunk because I knew in his soul, his soul said to me, "Ibrahim, I'm finished. There's nothing more I want. My life is done."
His sister was crying, "Ibrahim, pray for him, pray for him." And I did, I prayed, but there wasn't much I could do; it was his decision. Two days ago, he died.
Audience: There seems in the story there was a doorway that opened for him to make a decision then. So there was a possibility for the order to change through your work.
Ibrahim: I believe there was, but remember in the very beginning, Allah warned me, "If you want to work with this person, you can, but don't expect physical healing." I feel his spirit's in a very good place. He's traveling, he's in a deep state of happiness because of his healing, but he died.
Audience: I think you just answered the question. The question was, what is the role of our free will in the order for life and death, and in particular for suicide.
Ibrahim: First of all, remember that it says that the time of your death is written at the time of your birth. Forty days after conception, Allah puts the order for your time of death in your being. It's written. It's kept very secret. You can't get to it. I can't get to it. I don't think even Sidi can get to it. It's a secret. The only one who knows it is the guardian angel that sits over your right shoulder, watching. Their job is to make sure you don't die til that time. They protect you until the order is given.
It appears at times that through prayer Allah will change that time of death. I had a man who was dying of HIV. He was right on his deathbed, within hours of death, and through work, somebody else's work, I wasn't there but I heard about it. The pryaer was accepted and just as he was about to take his last breath, the light came down, went into his body, into his chest, he took an enormous breath, turned completely around, sat up and a week later when the measured the body, there was no HIV in his body. It was gone.
Was that an extending of the order, or was that simply just a secret, that his time was always known, and Allah was playing! I don't know the answer to that. Or his angel came back from vacation!
Let me give you another example of this. We had a man from New York who had a large tumor in his chin. He was gay and had HIV. I prayed about it and said, "Allah, what do You make for this man?" I knew him a long time. The answer was, "I want him to clean his sexuality and I want him to be perfect for Me." That's something I generally stay out of, I don't argue with people about their sexual proclivities. To him I said, "Allah wants you to stop this, this is the order for you if you want to heal this." He accepted it. The next day, the tumor almost disappeared. Allah gave him the healing, but there was a little bit left which is often what happens. He gives you just enough to remind you.
After a few weeks or a month, the man returned to what he loved, his ways, and the next thing I knew, the tumor grew right back. He ended up having surgery. They took out most of his jaw, cut open his leg, replaced his jaw with his tibia from his leg, and now he's having a very difficult time. But he's doing okay. The point is, when he followed the order Allah gave him, Allah gave him the miracle, but then he stopped and returned.
This man right here, Hakim, I had a talk with him a year ago. He was having tremendous healings. I said to him, "Hakim, how are you getting your healings?" And he said to me, "Ibrahim, all I'm doing is I pray to Allah, I hear what He has to say, I give it to the person, I help them follow it, and they're healed." And he is getting the healings. I want you to have healings like that.
Audience: I hope this isn't a stupid question. If healing happens on the soul level when Sidi does it, why do you need then to take the remedies to have that happen on the physical level?
Ibrahim: To help bring it down. When the soul level happens, the healing on the soul --Laila's a perfect example, your wife. She had a healing, but her body didn't accept it yet. It took time and it took a lot of work for her to be okay with being happy. But now it is okay. The healing oils help to do that. I know sometimes we glitch at that, why do we have to use these things, they cost a lot, they take time and so forht. I've had the same voices in my head from time to time. But the truth is that every time I use them, they do what they're supposed to. This has been a surrender for me and I think it will be for you as well to learn that what Sidi's bringing for you is the best help in every possible way even though it may not look like it.
Audience: Hearing what you're saying about how Sidi won't put the negativity out for us, if he doesn't do that, I imagine that you all try not to do that to.
Ibrahim: We're not as good at is as he is, but we try.
Audience: Fair enough. Being a person who's been sick, have teachers that I've been with just been sugar coating things and not telling me the truth?
Ibrahim: Always!
Audience: Great! If people are telling me that I'm healed and my body's showing me that I'm not, is it just that you don't have the order to say, "Denise, you're going to be sick forever"?
Ibrahim: No no, you have to look and see. Remember, when they say healed, what do they mean? I mean, nobody can lie. Lying's not allowed; if we lie, Allah's going to take us up to heaven and spank us. But if we say to you, you're healed in your soul, that might be the picture you need to believe that you're healed.
If I told you that you have a problem in your big toe, for the next year I know you're going to worry about your big toe, even though it's absurd. I know you!
Audience: Well, what are you doing giving me something else to worry about?!
Ibrahim: I'm giving you a very powerful teaching!
Audience: What my mind does is it says, "What am I doing wrong?"
Ibrahim: Stop. This is the illusion. You're not doing anything wrong. But you're making it into "you are doing something wrong."
Audience: But why?
Ibrahim: Because that's what minds do. You stop by seeing it's illusion. Look. You're looking at me but you're not looking at you. See? Look inside. Do you see that? Now make tawba for that when you leave this room, make "astaghfir Allah al-Azim."
You may say to me, "Ibrahim, I want more." But I just gave you five days of work. Go and do that now. Spend the next few days, take care of that now!
Audience: So if we're going to ask Sidi a question about our healing, and I asked him when he was in Maui, "Can you give me some suggestions as to what I can do to help my healing process," and he said fenugreek tea. My question is, do I need to get more specific with him?
Ibrahim: First do what he says. If he says fenugreek tea, go do the protocol. WHen you're done with it, call him again. He'll look to see what you did. There's a way to take it; it's his way he wants you to take it. That's the way i'd like you to work with Sidi when he's here. First of all, listen deeply to what he says. But then follow what he says. So many people, he gives you the answer, but they say, "Sidi, what about this? And what about this? And what about this?" But they've never done the first thing. You've got to do what he says.
As you travel further on this journey, in time many of you will reach the soul level and through your practices you will learn to return your qualities back to Lahut and in that not only will you heal but you will reach the unity. The unity is, Allah says, "I created you to know Me." When you reach the unity you know Him. You complete your creation. Why are you created? To know God, to worship God, and to serve God. That is why we're created, whether we understand it or not.
Allah in Lahut, the return of the soul in Jabarut and the ninety-nine qualities, third year; second year, your heart, learning to understand your heart, the qualities of love, how to be in love, how to give the love, how to deepen the love, how to open your heart to love, how to love God, how to be in the deep politeness with God, how to be in the deep awe with God, how to purify.
Most people when they heal their diseases today, when you go to the expos, I used to go to a lot of the expos, everybody's healing but they were healing from the self. They were healing the mind, the emotions, the etheric body, the DNA activation yadda yadda, all sorts of things they were doing in those expos. But nobody was healing the heart. I walked around for one day, from lecture to lecture, booth to booth. People wanted the emotional healing, they wanted the mind healing, but they did not go to the heart.
You have to go to the heart to heal. And after you go to the heart, you have to go to the soul. And once you've healed the heart and the soul, now you can come down and take care of this stuff. This is the true healing that happens here. That's what we're going to be teaching you. How to have the true healing of yourself first, meaning how to heal your heart, how to return your soul back to God, but also how to be in service so in time you can be a healer for others in the world.
I don't know if you know that in this moment, President Bush is signing the accord to go to war. I just turned off the TV before coming down here. They brought it before the senate and they said it was going to be signed. So it certainly looks like we're going to war again. But why? What can we do, can we do anything to make change? I think we can. I think you can. The way you're going to do it is first knowing what God's order is, because His order is always the order for peace, and love, and mercy, and justice. And if you know that order, and He shows you how to do it, if you talk to President Bush, maybe you can make a difference. Maybe. I know it's a maybe.
That's what I charge you with. I charge you all with learning to follow what Allah makes, learning how to understand it, learnng how to take action on it, and learning how to give it to others, so that maybe we'll have peace and love in this world. Alhamdulillah.
