Time. Time was an utter bitch, ruthless and cruel. She'd go slow, taking her time as the seconds felt like minutes, minutes like hours, and hours like eternity. Then she'd go fast, making the passing of events an utter blurr where no distinct details could be recalled. And time was of the essence. She had fifteen, twenty minutes, before somebody would come looking for her. It had to be a quick visit.

Hobbling down the hallway, Elena probably moved faster on three legs than on two, the crutches taking longer steps than her natual legs could have. She'd heard the doctors and scientists walking by, talking in hushed tones about him. Why he was so close to Rufus, she wasn't sure. Piss-poor security, in her opinion. Then again, having both Scarlet and Hojo nearby was piss-poor decision-making as well. But it was live and let live for now, and Elena wouldn't go out of her way to make unncessary trouble.

The only good part about the situation - about Sephiroth's closeness to top ShinRa personnel, was that he at least was in a room that required clearance. And with the odds that she didn't have the clearance level, she had swiped the card from one of the doctors she passed on the way down, taking an 'accidental tumble' against him and muttering several apologies for the trouble. Her hand was in his pocket, holding the access card, and back out before he knew what happened. It helped a little that her over-sized t-shirt fell off one shoulder and fell past the shorts she wore beneath it. While he was busy oogling, she tucked the card into the back of her shorts and continued on with thanks. With a swipe of the card and fast shuffling, Elena was in past the security and into the containment room.

Sephiroth looked like shit. Granted, being stuck in a tube was never a good look for anybody. But at least his shoulder looked better. That's not a good thing, Elena. Means he can move faster now. Moving carefully through the room, she came to stop in front of the tube, arms resting on the top bar of the crutches, fingers interlocking together for a rest for her chin. For a few moments she merely watched him, hazel eyes peering up beneath blonde bangs.

"Looks like you're going to recover about as well as me," she started, lifting her head up off her hands as she tucked the crutches back under her arms. "The doctors said that the realignment was done just right, and I'll be back to walking soon. I won't be able to run as fast as before, but I'll still run. And your arm is looking less shoddy than how I left it."

Looking down, Elena watched as she swung her thigh, mildly aware of the pain shooting through the injured leg. The medication was starting to kick in. "I don't know why you did it. I doubt you'd tell me, too. That's fine, I guess."

Turning back to the door, she began the trek back, stopping a few feet away from his tube. Turning to look back at him, she gave a little smirk. "You know, I'd say you were a nice guy for fixing my leg when you had no reason to, but you and I both know that isn't true. Good night, Sephiroth."
