Dear Person.....
Dear Person (who I pissed off during our discussion of Hime last night),
I normally wouldn't do this. I don't take discussions personally and disagreement and or heated debate are just part of the fun. I have my own opinion and I fully respect your right to have your own, and was never thinking of trying to change anyones mind. I just like discussion about my fav manga and normally we can agree to disagree and move on without a second thought, but for some reason the discussion we had left a bit of sour taste in my mouth.
I get that you love her and are very protective of her. I have a very similar reaction to Rukia, but what I said was not out of hate or a desire to bash. I sincerly want the best for her, and I am more than ready to see her grow and come out of whatever character issues she has and be the strong, independant, self assured, young woman I know is there. I'll be honest she's not my favorite character, I don't feel the affinity or connection with her that I do others and I don't begrudge anyone who loves her. Its true her character has been going through the wringer since the earlies chpts of the Arrancar Arc and even now she has not lost her controversial nature. It must be so tiring to be a fan, and always having to deal with fandom and what seems like an eternal wait while trying to be sustained by handouts every now and then, heck now that I think of it that applies to most of the Bleach fandoms, but still I will remember that in the future and try to remember how I would feel if we were talking about Rukia. Fandom would probably be a little easier if people remembered those things, stopped feeling personally attacked, and realize that discussion does not equal hate even if you are sick and tired of hearing it.
