Conviva’s Quality Engineering department is looking for a motivated self-starter to join our growing team. You are results-oriented, possess hands-on technical expertise and leadership qualities. You thrive in collaborative startup environments, adapt to changes quickly, and have a passion for meeting technical challenges under aggressive deadlines. You are a QA/QE Architect or a Senior Software Engineer in Testing, ready for an exciting opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a well-positioned startup company.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Your primary responsibilities will include architecture and design, development and implementation of test automation framework to verify correct functionality of Conviva C3. You will ensure complete back-end test coverage of a complex coordinated video distribution system. Your strong understanding of testing methodologies will allow you to play a key role in helping establish test processes in the company.
Position Requirements:

Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of software development and testing methodologies.
- Strong desire to develop effective test strategies for new technologies.
- Outstanding written and verbal communications skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality, coupled with pragmatism and understanding of reality.
Skills/Experience:
- 7+ years in testing and/or software development.
- Solid knowledge of C/C++, scripting languages (Perl, Python, shell), Linux/UNIX.
- Prior experience designing and developing back-end test automation frameworks is a must. Experience with test automation in distributed environments is a big plus.
- Excellent debugging skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Experience testing large-scale, server-based distributed applications highly desirable.
- Experience designing and developing test automation framework in one or more of the following is highly desirable: QTP, WinRunner, Silk, TestComplete.
Education:
BS CS or equivalent.
